PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
The role of the Senior Fellow is significant and proactive, involving leadership in the ICT activities outlined in the Digital Health Roadmap. The Senior Fellow will concentrate on two critical workstreams: (i) creating and executing a real-time, comprehensive enterprise architecture for managing human and estate resource planning, and (ii) overseeing the electronic health record platform. Furthermore, the Senior Fellow will contribute thought leadership on Standards and Interoperability, Infrastructure, and Compliance.
As an ICT Engineer and/or Computer Scientist, the Senior Fellow will optimize the ICT infrastructure and vision of the Ministry across regional health facilities, ensuring alignment with the Digital Health Roadmaps. The Senior Fellow will play a crucial role in implementing the Enterprise Architecture and Resource Planning ICT component of the Digital Health Roadmap, providing effective leadership and direction for the infrastructure team to transform healthcare services, facilities, and the health workforce.
This Senior Fellow will focus on developing and implementing Enterprise Architecture and Resource Planning ICT systems and databases for the Ministry’s Head Quarter structures, directorates and programmes, and its District Health Management Teams and Government Hospitals. The Senior Fellow will also upskill existing and new ICT staff at the Ministry and across health facilities in key hardware and software areas (CompTIA A+, Linux, Enterprise/Solution/Technology Architecture, Operating System (OS)). The Senior Fellow will ensure adherence to ICT standards, ensure interoperability between systems, enhance ICT literacy among staff, and manage ICT infrastructure for seamless operations.

- Sierra Leonean (local or from the diaspora)
Expectations: (Candidates may have a combination of some or all of the following attributes)
- Masters and/or PhD degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
